Growing up in Japan as a Korean American, Michael Whittle learned what it meant to be a minority. Now living in the US he started a self produced solo project Moio as a way to find the soul in an eastern/western heritage. Out of his mixed background--an electro soul trip hop is born. In late 2016, Moio released a cover 'Sound of Silence' as forerunner to his debut single 'Soul Sleeps'.
